Whilst our intrepid swimmers didn't go through fire and water to get to the BPS Carnival at Port Macquarie, they certainly had to go through fire and water to get back home!! Lots of adventures to be told of our return trips. But our results are good and we are still ahead of Warringah now by a mere 281 points - to stay ahead we need lots of participation at the Newcastle and West Auburn Carnivals - the last ones for the year. Overall Ryde came 4th out of 20 Clubs - lots of Northern clubs there in force which was good to see. Individually first places went to Cassie, Alan and Jamie, second to Steve and Joanne, fourth to Susan and Chris, sixth to Andrew and Wim. Our relays came first and a very exciting close second for the men. We now have seven swimmers in the top Twenty-five Most Active swimmers.
