When?:
Mondays and Wednesdays 7.30-8.30pm ex public holidays.
Where?:
Shallow end, competition pool, Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre.
Cost?:
Annual Membership (Jan - Dec) $120. This includes affiliation to Masters Swimming NSW/Australia and their insurance. It also includes entry to the NSW Relay Carnival and our own club carnival.
Each time you swim you also need to pay pool entry (concession rate) and $2 to the Club to pay for lane hire.
Can I try it out?:
Yes. Our insurance allows you to try out a couple of times to see if you like it. Just pay into the pool and come to the shallow end of the competition pool at 7.30 on a Monday or Wednesday night and introduce yourself to the people on the desk.
How to join?:
Join and pay by credit card online by going to NSW Masters Swimming Registration page, select "New Registration", then choose Ryde Aussi Masters Swimmers (RAMS) Inc. Alternatively, you can pay in person on club training nights at the pool.
Proof of age may need to be sighted by a club committee member.

Who are we:
We welcome members (18+ years) of any ability who wish to improve their personal achievement in swimming through squad training and competition. Come along and try it! Its not as scary as you might think! Not only will you swim harder than you would on your own, you'll get to meet a whole lot more people who like swimming too!
The club is operated on a voluntary basis by its members so there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the club. Our coaches provide training programs graduated to suit everyone from the slower swimmers to the faster ones. All strokes are trained with the emphasis on fitness. Stroke correction is also offered whenever necessary.
After the Wednesday night swim our Club puts on a complimentary supper which is a great opportunity to meet other members of the Club.
What Other Activities do we get up to:
Competition and Carnivals
Carnivals are held at regular intervals where members of other AUSSI clubs come together. Once again, these cater for swimmers of all standards, carrying on the AUSSI tradition of fun, fitness and friendship.
It is not compulsory to compete in carnivals but our coaches and other members will encourage you to compete with the club to develop both team spirit and personal achievement. Swimmers nominate their times so that they swim with others of the same standard which makes competing relaxed and non-confronting. You can also compete at State, National and International levels.
Aerobic Swimming
If you prefer longer distances there is a program in NSW AUSSI for members to swim distances over 400m in all strokes. Club members are encouraged to help each other out so that they can complete the aerobic program together.
Open Water Swimming
Rivers, lakes, beaches or dams, you name it and our “roughwater” RAMS are in it. A number of NSW Masters Swimming sanctioned events and other events are held throughout the summer season.
Social Events
Throughout the year the club organises some social outings or other sporting events where our members can get together and have fun.
