2012 Warringah Carnival

A National Record for Chris Lock!

Chris Lock is over the moon in getting a national record for the 50m backstroke. We are very pleased for you Chris, well done!

Natalie Clarence snared 3 state records and many PBs, very well done Nat! Lots of PBs for people and good swimming. Despite a couple of absences (check the date everyone!) and feeling off colour and crashing into the wall (health is more important points swimmers) we did well.

In the medley shootout we had Nathan and Catherine both get to the final round. Both up against North Sydney. Unfortunately, NorthSYdney were too strong but it was excitingly close. Great swimming!! The video of the shoot out is here.

Details in the results on the state website but overall our first 3 placegtters in age groups were: 1 Natalie, Nathan, Susan and Jamie; 2 Jason, Leanne, Yolanda and Chris; 3 Daniel, John Murray and Kyiah.

We did not shine on the timekeeping front. I don't like to do a roster but we need more people to get off their seats and help do our share of the timekeeping please.

Relays were a nightmare to organise so thanks everyone for your help. All first and second placings!

So it was an exciting carnival for us with various ups and downs, Overall we came 3rd out of 27 clubs. Manly had the numbers there to get lots of points and we are now 200 points behind them in the pointscore and slipped to 3rd place. Can we keep 3rd or regain 2nd???....only if lots of you swim in the last few events of the year!!!

Cheers

Jamie
