Well-deserved honour for masters swimmer stalwart

A life time of service to MASTER swimming, Helen Rubin receive a RYDE AUSSI Masters 30 Years of Celebration of Service award.

Helen is an active official and has AUSSI accreditation for Timekeeping, Chief Timekeeper, Marshal, Check Starter Inspector of turns and judge of strokes and the list goes on.

Apart from administration achievement in the most recent Nation Championships in Perth, Helen won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for her age group. 

Some of the achievements and significant awards:

  • Life Member RYDE AUSSI Masters.
  • Life Member Masters Swimming NSW
  • Masters NSW Secretary 2002-2004
  • Committee member 1993- 2004
  • Masters Swimming Australia, 5 year Merit Award for membership services to the National Committee Board.
  • Member of Ryde AUSSI Masters since 1982.

 President John Amery along with Life Member Jenny Whiteley, presented Helen Rubin with her 30 year Achievement award for Service.

 Helen Find time to enjoy her swimming at most Masters Meets conducted throughout the year as well as Monday and Wednesdays Training session at the Ryde Aquatic Centre. Should that no be enough you will find Helen enjoying her second passion in life, bush waking and she has trekked many parts of Australia and around the world.
